This page explains how CySec 2026's website uses cookies, local storage and analytics. In short: this site sets no cookies at all. It uses self-hosted, cookieless analytics to measure aggregate visits, no advertising, no cross-site tracking — and you can decline even that from the cookie notice.

This site sets no cookies of any kind — no analytics cookies, no advertising or ad-retargeting cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies. We do not run tools like Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar service that sets a cookie or builds a cross-site profile of your visit.
We use Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool that we run ourselves — your visit data never goes to a third party. It records aggregate measurements only: which pages were viewed, the referring site, and coarse device/browser and country information derived from your connection. It does not use a cookie, does not write anything to your browser's local storage, and does not assign you a persistent identifier that could link separate visits together — so it cannot identify you as an individual and is not able to track you across other websites.
You can decline analytics from the cookie notice shown on your first visit (choose "Essential only"). Your choice is remembered in local storage; see "Controlling storage" below to change it later.
The only thing this site writes to your browser is a single local-storage entry recording your cookie-notice choice (accepted or essential-only), so the notice does not reappear on every visit. This is strictly functional and does not identify you.
Where this site links out — for example to the BCSA events platform for registration, or to the CyberBattle CTF site — those destinations may set their own cookies under their own policies once you land on them. This policy only covers cysec.bcsa.bn.
You can change your analytics choice at any time by clearing local storage for this site in your browser's site settings — the cookie notice will reappear on your next visit so you can choose again.
